The first shipment of Egyptian garlic for the season arrived in Brazil in late May via the Port of Salvador in Bahia state. The price of garlic stood at USD 1.13/kg and USD 11.33/10kg box (FOB price). The shipment consisted of 20.8 metric tons, equivalent to one container. The ETD (Estimated Time of Departure) was at the end of April, which is considered early for garlic imports.
