Norwegian Fresh Salmon Exports Dropped by 5% WoW in W39, Raising Prices by 7.76%

During W39, the export volume of Norwegian fresh salmon HON (3-6 KG FCA Oslo) experienced a notable drop of 1,284 metric tonnes (mt) or 5% week-on-week (WoW). This led to a price increase to USD 7.42/kg, marking a significant 7.76% WoW rise. Additionally, forward contracts for Q4-23 were traded at USD 7.39/kg FCA Oslo, with salmon prices expected to gradually increase throughout the end of 2023, with the highest prices anticipated in the upcoming year, possibly between Mar-24 and Apr-24.
