Freight costs have doubled in the past weeks for Ethiopian agricultural products exporters. The recent rise in freight cost has made it hard for Ethiopian suppliers to sign a fixed price long term contract with international buyers.
To avoid freight cost fluctuations, Some Ethiopian exporters are now only accepting FOB shipment terms rather than CIF or CFR terms of shipment.
