The fisherman or producer and supplier of the fresh crab meat products in East Indonesia need to improve the processing quality of their product. With the current short supply of the fresh crab meat in West Indonesia, the canned crab meat producers in West Indonesia are looking for the source from the East region, such as Maluku, Ambon, Sulawesi, Sorong, and Papua. But, the quality and the consistency of the specification of the fresh crab meat are the concern that results to the low rate of the quality acceptance by the canned crab producer. By improving the processing process, the fresh crab meat supplier can take more benefit from the current price uptrend.
