During W5 in Italy, there were fluctuations in cuttlefish prices due to oversupply, with a decrease of 3.3% week-on-week (WoW) in the Adriatic Sea market, dropping from USD 16.79/kg in W4 to USD 16.24/kg, and a 10.6% WoW decrease in the northern Adriatic Sea market, dropping from USD 13.92/kg to USD 12.45/kg. As for squid (small sizes), there has been a notable decline in the Tyrrhenian Sea area of 34% WoW, dropping from USD 34.65/kg in W4 to USD 27.07/kg. However, in another part of the northern Adriatic Sea, there was an increase in the market by 18% WoW, from USD 9.91/kg in W4 to USD 11.75/kg.
