Fresh papaya market is facing the biggest loss of all time. Fresh papaya is one of the main desserts in hotels, restaurants, and events. As the COVID-19 "Stay At Home" orders are announced and people start practising social distancing, the papaya consumption has decreased to almost half. The decreased demand has reduced the price from MMK 800 per 1.5 kg in 2019 to MMK 400 per 1.5 kg in 2020 in September.
