Fresh tomato prices in Colombia significantly increased at the end of W51, primarily due to heightened demand during the Christmas season. In Central Colombia, wholesale prices surged by 39% week-on-week (WoW), bringing the price to USD 0.72 per kilogram (kg). Meanwhile, prices rose by 34% WoW in the Northern region, with the wholesale price reaching USD 0.95/kg. This price spike reflects the seasonal demand surge as consumers and vendors prepare for holiday festivities, pushing prices upward in both regions.
