Ecuador Market Update: Fruit Price Rising on Week 33

Week 33 presents a low season start for Red Skin White Flesh dragon fruit (RSWF) and yellow dragon fruit. This is mainly seen in the rising in prices from $1.5 per kilo to $4 per kilo for RSWF dragon fruit and from $1.75 per kilo to $3.5 per kilo on yellow dragon fruit.

We can expect continuing rising prices influenced by the demand until end of September-early October for both cases as high season starts with new harvests. Currently, most farms are getting ready with the protocols that allow them the export permit to China from the Ecuadorian Phytosanitary agency Agrocalidad.
