Georgia pecan production and season

The United States is the world's largest pecan producer accounting for 75% of global production annually. Fifteen states, concentrated in the South, grow pecans with Georgia usually being the largest producer, however New Mexico took that title in 2019. Georgia's pecan harvest begins in early October and runs into December.
