From year to year, Georgia develops blueberries production as a new industry and increases the area for its cultivation. Annually, over 200-300 ha of new plantations are laid in the country, and according to experts, the total area of plantations has already reached 1 Kha. In 2020, Georgia harvested about 750MT of blueberries, almost 90% of which were exported. If the country manages to double its harvest in 2021, Georgia will become one of the 25 largest blueberry exporters in the world.
