GeoTanaman system improve agriculture entrepreneurship

The Department of Agriculture has developed an information system, namely GeoTanaman to empower the economy of agricultural industry, particularly in providing quality and safe-to-eat food supplies. GeoTanaman helps farmers to conduct agricultural activities and market agricultural produces more efficiently. It was built to overcome the problem of dumping local vegetables and fruits while at the same time overcoming the influx of imported vegetables and fruits. In addition, agricultural information is collected in the system aiming to improve the country's food crop yields, penetrate the external market through specific production analysis at farm locations, cultivation planning, and production based on local and international demands.
