In Peru, approximately 66% of the 1.682 million tons of fishmeal quota has been landed in the North-central region, with exploratory fishing ongoing in the South; fish oil yields remain below average.

In China, off-takes of imported fishmeal from port warehouses were reported at around 15 thousand metric tons (mt) in W51, and total stocks of imported fishmeal have reached 222 thousand mt, surpassing the previous five-year average of 188 thousand reported for W51. Domestic production seems to be higher compared to the same period in 2022.

In Chile, the available fishmeal raw material for reduction increased weekly due to increased catches from North to South.

In Northern Europe, fishmeal landings decreased WoW as fishing fleets slowed down operations for the Christmas break; Iceland and Norway have almost entirely fulfilled their quotas.
