Good demand for Indonesian Cavendish bananas in China

Cavendish bananas from Indonesia are being well-received in the Chinese market. Buyers have confirmed numerous orders and most of the production capacities have been booked until June this year. Currently, the production capacity is still low, especially for the export quality. Meanwhile, domestic demand is also high with competitive prices, leading local producers to prefer to prioritize the local market. Only large plantations are serving the export market, mostly for the sake of establishing their international market strategy.
