Grape harvest underway in Manisa, Turkey

Manisa remains an important grape production city in Turkey with a production area of 100,000 hectares. A significant part of the production is dried and exported as raisins. Nearly 90% of the production is exported and the annual export turnover is around 250 kmt and 450 million USD.

Main export destinations for raisins from Manisa are the United Kingdom, Germany, Russia, the Netherlands, Italy, France, and Ukraine. Turkey's raisin exports have surpassed 500 million USD for the first time in its history and reached 516 million USD in the 2018 - 2019 season.

The expected raisin production yield in 2020 is around 270 kmt.
