Hail caused damage to tobacco crops in southern Brazil

A large hail storm caused damage to more than a thousand crops in the southern Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, where the tobacco production pole is located. In total, 1,051 farmers reported the damage, of which 78% are located in the same county, called Santa Cruz do Sul.

Preliminary survey indicates that the damage caused by hail this year is already 18% greater than last year. Some producers even had complete loss of production.
