The Ministry of Agriculture reported that Egypt opened its market for Brazilian exports of thermo-processed poultry products. 82 new plants had been approved and opened to foreign markets for agricultural products since January 2019.
According to the animal protein organization, the authorization is effecting for 42 poultry exporting plants, considering whole chicken to the Egyptian market.
According to the president of ABPA, Francisco Turra, shortly after the authorization, several licenses for shipments have already been issued, in a total that already exceeds 1.5 thousand tons.
Fourteenth main importer of chicken meat from Brazil, Egypt imported 39,100 tons between January and June this year, a volume that exceeds by 27% the total shipped in the first half of 2019.
