With 2022 coming to a close, trucks are in high demand to transport agricultural products in W52, causing the prices to spike and the movement of products to decrease. Companies experienced an increase of almost USD 1K from W51. Overnight runs from Nogales to LA are priced upwards to USD 2.3-2.5K in W52, compared to W51 USD 1.3-1.5K. According to a few brokers, rates should return to normal starting W1 and W2 of 2023. Rates to the northeast (PA, NY, NJ) coming out of McAllen are seeing price spikes ranging from USD 7.5-8.2K. Customers are waiting until the holidays end to start loading due to the high demand for trucks.
