High poultry feed costs might create price hikes and shortages of chicken in Iran

Increasing poultry feed prices have made poultry farmers reduce their production output to 105-110 million per month while the demand is around 115-120 million on a monthly basis.
Poultry farmers in Iran have to pay four times more for poultry feeds currently and the price inflation on imported poultry feeds has already driven around 7,000 chicken farms out of the market.
If there aren't measures introduced to tackle the high costs of poultry feed, the country might face price hikes and shortages in the chicken meat supply.
