Higher sugar supply should keep global prices low in 2021.

From a deficit of 5 million tons to a surplus of 10 million tons, the world will have to deal with an unbalanced offer x supply of sugar after Covid-19, according to market analysts from Fitch Solutions and Rabobank. On one hand, Brazil is expected to have a super harvest in 2021 with 35% increase, while Thailand and India are expected to recover their production levels. On the other hand, the global consumption of sugar is still suferring from the lockdown and standstill measures that directly impacted this commodity.
