Hong Kong approved Brazilian chicken slaughterhouse after thorough tests

Hong Kong health officials today announced the release of SIF 601 from the Brazilian Slaughterhouse, which had been temporarily suspended for tests that proved the absence of risks of contamination by COVID - 19 in chicken meat produced by the plant. The Center for Food Safety and the Department for Food Hygiene and the Environment of Hong Kong today issued the authorization to resume shipments, after presenting all clarifications made by the Ministry of Agriculture of Brazil, with the support of the cooperative and of the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA).
