The Argentinian Illex squid season is progressing steadily during W3, with daily catches averaging 25 and 30 metric tons (mt). Most catches consist of squid-sized SS (100 to 200 g) and S (200 to 300 g) due to tidal conditions. Demand remains strong, while global supply is limited, particularly with Boston squid experiencing poor seasons in recent years. Additionally, the Chinese fleet faces challenges with catches from the Argentinian Platform. As a result, prices are higher compared to the previous season's end. Current sales prices are as follows: Jigger Seafrozen: SS: USD 3.60/kg CFR S: USD 3.80/kg CFR M: USD 4.00/kg CFR Trawler Landfrozen: 100/300g: USD 3.10/kg CFR 300/500g: USD 3.30/kg CFR
