EU pork exports dropped in January to 325.000mt (cwe), representing a 25% decrease compared to the same month 2021. In February exports decreased again by 36% compared to the same month of 2021. The main reason was the continued reduction in exports to China, 70% down in January and February combined. It was 35% down in the UK. Increases in export volumes to Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines were not enough to compensate for this slump.
