Towards the closing of 2022, the Indonesian Government reported that non-palm oil-based product imports, including food and agricultural products, are valued at USD 16.16M, decreasing by almost 0.89% compared to the same period in 2021. Consumers and manufacturers have started to minimize using import commodities due to the high exchange rate leading to a higher cost of raw materials, and are searching to alternate using similar produce commodities in the local market, even though the quality is not similar to the imported raw material products.
