Local Indonesia strawberry production is still struggling to compete with the imported product. The market is dominated by the imported strawberry from Korea, the US, and Australia. Although the demand in the market continues to rise, the local plantation areas in the central production, such as South Bandung in West Java, are declining. The farmers face problems with the seed quality, high cost, low cultivation skill, and low production. Hence, the market will continue to depend on imports.
