The harvest of the Arumanis mango variety this 2022 has dropped sharply in Indonesia. The harvest for 2022 is anticipated to be significantly smaller, with a decline of 30% to 40% compared to the yield in the October-November harvest of 2021. In addition to a decrease in yields, the quality of the fruit has also declined. The fruit from this year's harvest tends to ripen faster and therefore has a shorter shelf life. To reduce the chance of fruit damage if it is sent to the export market, dealers typically concentrate more on the local market. This condition is suspected to be due to erratic weather since entering the rainy period this year. The East Java province is the primary growing area for Arumanis mangoes.
