Italian pasta sales have been strong in international markets, despite issues with the rise in durum wheat prices, which is 57% more than the average over the last 5 years, as well as the challenges faced by companies due to the surge in production costs. In the first seven months of 2022, exports of semolina pasta grew by 43% in volume YoY, with positive results in all the main export markets. Made in Italy pasta sales increased by 12% in Germany, which continues to be the top market for the product, followed by 16% in the United Kingdom and 14% in the US.
