Increasing Price Trend of Guatemalan Sesame Seeds

Amid the price uptrend for field products of sesame seeds during the last 2 weeks, exporters are not being able to set price for exports. Speculation about problems in other producing countries is driving the intermediaries to hold stocks, in expectation of further price hikes.

No formal offer in terms of export price or date has been given by the main exporters. This uncertainty is expected to be resolved before week 50, as Christmas season is upcoming.
