India Is the New Target Market for Turkish Hazelnut Exports

A sectoral trade delegation was organised by the Turkish Black Sea Nuts and Products Exporters' Association to India. India is one of the world's largest nut markets and imports approximately USD 1.3B of cashews, USD 1B of almonds, and USD 200M of pistachios annually, but its hazelnut imports remain 600MT at USD 3.8M, significantly lower compared to competing products. With the introduction of Turkish hazelnuts and hazelnut products in India, exports to this country are expected to increase in the near future.
