The new pigeon pea harvest in Solapur, India, is expected to begin by the end of November 2022. While in Amravati, harvest is expected to begin by the end of December 2022 and gain momentum from W1-W2 of January, 2023. In both markets, crop production is expected to be 20–30% lower in the 2022/23 season compared to the 2021/22 season, due to crop damage and adverse weather conditions from excessive rainfall in October this year.
