India’s total grain and pulses production may reach an all-time record

Chickpea production, the most critical pulses item produced in India, is expected to increase from 11.91 to 13.12 million MT. In addition, lentil production is expected to grow from 1.49 million MT to 1.58 million MT. Except for pigeon pea and mung beans, there is no product expected to decrease production. On the contrary, record production expectation remains in all products, but it should be remembered that the overall production is never enough to meet the total demand. However, if this situation causes a lack of demand, prices may decrease.
