In 2023, Indonesia deviated from its usual practice of opening the Chinese garlic quota in March and September, opting to begin the quotations earlier. As of mid-August, numerous garlic factories have received orders and commenced processing. The combined quota for this year, totaling approximately 400 thousand tons, is subject to adjustment based on the prevailing demand within the Indonesian market.
