The durian plantations in Palu and Sulawesi in Indonesia have entered productive periods in July 2022. Palu is one of the focus regions for durian plantation that focuses on the Monthong variety. Durian is a commodity that gets import protection from the government and attracts investment in several plantations in Indonesia. Currently, the production output is still focused on the domestic market. Still, by 2024, it is expected that production will reach a volume that has export potential.
