IFEMA MADRID has celebrated the reunion of the meat industry at a new edition of Meat Attraction, the event featuring the best meat in the world, which took place between the 8 and 10 of march 2022. The show has established itself as the largest business platform and the only trade fair dedicated to Spain’s fourth-largest industrial sector, which generates a turnover of more than EUR 31,000 million.

During March 9 and 10, the protagonists were the markets of Mexico and Japan, with buyers from those countries. Specifically, on the 9th, the Mexico-Spain meat sector and business meeting were carried out, organized by INTERPORC, CoMeCarne, and Avianza. The needs of that market were addressed, and a business round was held between Mexican and Spanish companies.

Currently, 346 Spanish companies are authorized by the Mexican administrations to export pork meat products to Mexico and, as explained by Daniel de Miguel, International Director of INTERPORC, “Spain exports 64% of its pork production, and Mexico is a large importing power, which is synonymous with great business and collaboration opportunities.
