The Turkish sweet corn season lasts for three months from August until October. The 2022 sweet corn crop is expected to come in significantly lower compared to 2021 as Turkish farmers planted 30% less this year. This will negatively affect IQF sweet corn production for 2022. One of the biggest IQF sweet corn producers in Turkey will produce around 7,000MT in 2022, which is nearly half compared to 2021. Total Turkish IQF sweet corn production is expected to have a 15,000MT shortfall at the end of the 2022 harvest.
