Iran imports over 4.5 million tons, expected to exceed 7 million tons by year-end

Iran has imported over 4.5 million tons of corn since the beginning of the current fiscal year, from March 2020, valued at $1.1 billion.
Last year the country has imported over 6.9 million tons of corn valued at $6.4 billion.
Currently, there are around 1.3 million tons waiting at Iranian customs and by the end of the year, Iran is expected to exceed last year's import level.
