Iran has exported over 34 KMT of chicken eggs during the first three months of the year, from March 20 to June 20, which is more than 80% of the total export volume of last year.
Excessive exports and foreign demand for chicken eggs in Iran have caused a price hike and created temporary shortages. The government had earlier banned the egg exports to avoid further shortages and price hikes which ban was removed on July 21 and egg exports were allowed with an export duty of $0,17 per kg.
As of August 22, the government lifted the export duty and Iranian exporters are free to export without any duties being charged.
