Iranian province to produce 1.9 million tons of sugar beets

Iranian province of West Azerbaijan is a major sugar beet production hub and estimations are that the region will contribute with 1.9 million tons of production output by the end of the current fiscal year, Mar 2021.
The harvest normally takes place in autumn and currently, there are around 250 KMT of sugar beets purchased from the farmers of the province generating a value of $5.7 million.
