Ivory coast set price for 2020/2021 cotton season

The council of Ministers in the Ivory Coast has approved the 2020/21 campaign purchase price for cottonseed at € 0.46 per kilo and € 0.42 for 2nd grade. The enthusiasm in cotton trade is as a result of continued demand and a ready market for cotton produced in the country. This has made it possible to maintain producers' incomes over the last four cotton seasons despite the COVID -19 pandemic. There is a 12% increase in the number of cotton growers in 2020 when compared to 2017.
