Particularly hit are the fresh, imported fruits, whose prices have risen dramatically from a year ago: avocado prices have risen from JPY 80 (USD 0.59) to JPY 168 (USD 1.24), and pineapple prices have risen from JPY 398 (USD 2.93) to JPY 480 (USD 3.53).
