The green bean supply in Kenya has not been stable in 2022 due to the majority of farmers preferring to engage in contract farming which guarantees a market for their product. Contract farming reduces the risks of market price fluctuations for farmers by providing them with the inputs to produce on order and selling at a predetermined price. The supply is projected to improve from September due to an expected increase in demand from the European market.
