Lack of Increase in Sales Performance of Blue Swimming Crabs (BSC) Due to Abundant Supply of Domestic Crabs in Indonesia

Indonesia is one of the largest exporters of Blue Swimming Crabs (BSC) to the US. Based on information from one of the largest crab meat processing factories in Indonesia, the sales performance of pasteurized crab meat does not show a significant increase compared to 2021. Finally, this has an impact on purchasing performance of imported Blue Swimming Crabs raw materials. Most crab meat processing factories use 100% raw materials from local suppliers. In addition to the lack of increase in sales performance, domestic crab stocks are abundant because many regions in Indonesia are starting the blue swimming crab harvest season.
