Extreme cold weather in Poland for the past two weeks, with temperatures dropping below freezing at night and not exceeding 10 degrees Celsius during the day, is causing pollination issues for apple orchards in bloom, potentially affecting the 2024 crop. Buyers and traders initially prepared to start selling off old stock, have halted their offerings due to these cold weather conditions. Instead, they plan to increase their offers from the first week of May-24. Red-colored apple varieties are expected to see an increase in price of at least 10-15% year-on-year (YoY).
