Orchard farmers and local logistics partners have stated that limited availability and high costs of suitable temperature-controlled transport facilities/vehicles in Nigeria have led to a neglect of the opportunity for fresh fruits export from the country. Fresh products like ginger, bananas, garlic, avocado, etc have potential but are experiencing spoilage/decline in quality before reaching destination ports leading to financial losses for exporters.
