Tightened stocks and strong export demand have caused Canadian flax prices to increase significantly since the 2020 harvest. Some producers have recorded prices being up by 50% since harvest and reported prices to vary between $14.90-$18/bushel across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Exports were up 444% through September while it is believed that production is going to be below the 552K MT as predicted by Statistics Canada.
