Low quality pineapple crop increasing processed products prices

Inclement weather during peak harvest season has negatively impacted the yield of squeezable pineapple juice from cayenne pineapples, which is preferred for canning in Thailand, and has thus created an upward pressure on prices for canned pineapple products in Thailand. The price increase is expected to continue as global demand is increasing, which made suppliers to be fully booked until Q2 2022.
