Hake Sausage Prices Have Surged in Argentina Due to Low Stock and High Demand in the 2023/24 Season

In the 2023/24 season (December to March), the combination of low stock of Hake (Merluccius hubssi) sausage in Argentina and high demand has led to a significant price increase. Compared to the 2022 prices, which ranged from USD 2,550 to 2,650 per metric ton (mt), the current season began with prices at USD 3,200/mt. As of W47, prices have surged to USD 3,800/mt and are expected to continue to rise.
