Coronda - the second most important region for strawberry production- is the most affected region by the lowering of the Paraná River. Most of the producers are located on the banks of the Coronda River, and when sufficient flow doesn't come from the Paraná River, the salinity of its waters increases, generating a drop in production results that can vary from 40 to 70%, in comparison to the historical average of previous years.
