MAAIF and Vanilla Stakeholders Aim to Regulate Vanilla Sector Due to Insecurity Among Vanilla Growing Communities in Uganda

The ministry of agriculture, MAAIF, together with Vanilla stakeholders in Uganda are framing a regulatory environment for the sector to safeguard the farmers from the overwhelming theft which has led to insecurity among Vanilla growing communities. Vanilla is one of Uganda's high value crops where its FOB prices have been ranging between USD 149/kg and USD 371/kg in 2022.
