Maize price futures rally slowing down in Brazil

After weeks of sharp price increases, maize futures prices finally slow down in the Brazilian B3 stock market. On Monday morning, Aug. 31, a sack of 60 kg was being negotiated at R$ 60.30 (US$ 11.02) for Sep, R$ 59.95 (US$ 10.96) for Nov, R$ 60.00 (US$ 10.97) for Jan, reflecting stable prices in the local currency Brazilian 'Real' for the past week and an appreciation around 2% in US dollars.
