Due to a hot and humid spring, the mango harvest has begun earlier than anticipated for several producers in Far North Queensland, Australia. It has overlapped with supply from the Katherine, NT region. A 7kg tray of mangoes costs USD 6.77 (AUD 10) in domestic Australia, and supermarkets even run marketing campaigns where customers may get a free mango along with their purchase. It is to encourage an increase in consumption and bulk buying.
